This thesis provides a historical overview of drama programs for English language teachers in the 1990s in the Czech Republic. It focuses on two projects: the Class Acts Teacher Network and the ELT Drama Network. The Class Acts Teacher Network (1996- 1998) trained teachers to create English plays for an annual festival.
