The crisis situations in the family - difficult life situations in the family for the birth of a child with mental handicap

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je dokázat, že narození handicapovaného dítěte patří k nejtraumatičtějším situacím v rodině. Často dochází k rozpadu rodiny a dítě zůstává v péči jednoho z rodičů, většinou matky. Rozpad manželství je proto častým důvodem k umístění dítěte do ústavní péče. Praktickou část tvoří kazuistiky zaměřené na rodiny, které řešily svou krizovou situaci umístěním dítěte do zařízení sociálních služeb. Z průzkumu vyplývá, že i přes tuto volbu nebyla přetržena vazba mezi rodinou a dítětem.

Abstract:

The main aim of bachelor thesis is to prove that the birth of a handicapped child is one of the most traumatic situations in the family. The child remains in care of parents mostly mother after the break up of family. The break up of marriage is therefore a common reason for child being placed to the institutional care. The practical part consists of casuistries focusing on the families that deal with the crisis by placing their child to social services. The survey shows that despite this opinion, the relation between the child and the family remained unbroken.
