The OTC interest rate and currency derivatives

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá úrokovými a měnovými OTC deriváty. Cílem práce je zmapovat proces sjednávání kontraktu ze strany klienta i ze strany banky. Konkrétní postup je naznačen na UniCredit Bank, ale postupy ostatních bank v České republice jsou téměř totožné. V první části jsou teoreticky rozebrány jednotlivé deriváty, jejich členění a způsoby obchodování. V dalších částech jsou uvedeny již konkrétní produkty, které banka nabízí k zajištění měnového či úrokového rizika, jejich sjednávání. V neposlední řadě je zde uveden příklad z praxe, na kterém je ukázáno, jak důležité jsou náležitosti, které je potřeba splnit před sjednáním kontraktu.

Abstract:

The subject of this Bachelor thesis is the interest rate and currency OTC derivatives. The aim of thesis is to map the process of negotiating contracts between the part of client and the part of bank. Factual process is outlined on Unicredit Bank, however processes of other banks in Czech Republic are almost identical. In the first session are theoretically dismantled single derivatives, their division and different ways of trading. In further parts are already presented factual products that banks offer to assurance currency risks, their negotiation. And last, but not least there is given an example of practice, whereon is presented, how important are essentials, which are needed to be accomplished before negotiating contract.
