The Impact of Industrial Zone Krupka on Development of Labour Market in the District of Teplice

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda a do jaké míry má vybraná průmyslová zóna vliv na míru nezaměstnanosti v okrese Teplice, a jaký má dopad na regionální průměrnou mzdu. Tento cíl je vyhodnocen pomocí diferencí výše mezd, aplikace hypotetického modelu na nezaměstnanost ve vybraném regionu a komparativní analýzy. Ke komplexnějšímu zhodnocení je posouzen vliv podniků ve vybrané průmyslové zóně na region. Na základě provedeného výzkumu lze říci, že má průmyslová zóna Krupka pozitivní dopad na vývoj na trhu práce v okrese Teplice, a to především na zvyšování ekonomické úrovně, jinak strukturálně postiženého regionu. Zóna se do jisté míry podílí i na snižování míry nezaměstnanosti v okrese, a to průměrně o 1,4 p. b. ročně za sledované období. Přičemž tento rozdíl se zvyšuje společně s počtem zaměstnanců v zóně. Od roku 2015 vykazuje průmyslová zóna vyšší průměrné mzdy, než je krajský průměr. Tento zvrat způsobila lokalizace nových společností, které se zabývají sofistikovanější výrobou. Tyto společnosti nabízí vyšší mzdové ohodnocení, a to průměrně o 3125 Kč více než ostatní společnosti v kraji. Dále podniky v zóně podporují život v regionu pořádáním společenských, sportovních akcí či dalších eventů pro své zaměstnance. Zjištěný trend mohou využít tvůrci regionální politiky, investoři či potencionální zájemci o pracovní pozici, kterým tato práce přináší např. srovnání mezd.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out whether and to what extent the selected industrial zone has an effect on the unemployment rate in the district of Teplice and what is the impact on the regional average wage. This goal is evaluated using differences in wages, the application of a hypothetical model to unemployment in a selected region and a comparative analysis. For a more comprehensive evaluation, the influence of companies in the selected industrial zone on the region is assessed. Based on the research, it can be said that the Krupka industrial zone has a positive impact on the development of the labor market in the district of Teplice, especially on increasing the economic level of the otherwise structurally affected region. To a certain extent, the zone also contributes to the reduction of the unemployment rate in the district, by an average of 1.4 pp per year for the observed period. And this difference increases together with the number of employees in the zone. Since 2015, the industrial zone has shown higher average wages than the regional average. This reversal was caused by the localization of new companies engaged in more sophisticated production. These companies offer a higher salary evaluation, on average by CZK 3,125 more than other companies in the region. Furthermore, companies in the zone support life in the region by organizing social, sporting events or other events for their employees. The identified trend can be used by regional policy makers, investors or potential job seekers, to whom this work brings, for example, wage comparisons.
