Sick Building Syndrome and it's effect on emeployees in academical libraries in Czech Republic

Abstract:

Syndrom nemocných budov lze definovat jako obtíže, které postihují uživatele či zaměstnance různých typů budov. Tato diplomová práce „Působení syndromu nemocných budov na zaměstnance akademických knihoven v ČR“ se zaměřuje na to, zda a jak působí tento syndrom na zaměstnance akademických knihoven v ČR s ohledem na efektivitu jejich práce a jak tito zaměstnanci své pracovní prostředí hodnotí. V teoretické části jsou vyloženy pojmy jako syndrom nemocných budov, onemocnění související s budovou, akademická knihovna a jednotlivé symptomy. Dále uvádí hodnocení pracovního prostředí, rizikové faktory pracovního prostředí a dopad syndromu nemocných budov na zaměstnance budov. V praktické části jsou popsána metodologická východiska výzkumu a design výzkumu. Závěrečná analytická část rozpracovává jednotlivé okruhy dotazníku a vyhodnocuje míru výskytu symptomů, dopad na efektivitu práce a spokojenost s pracovním prostředím.

Abstract:

Sick building syndrome (SBS) is defined as inconvenience effecting users and employees working in any kind of building. This thesis "Sick building syndrome in academic libraries in Czech Republic" is mostly concerned on effectivity of work of employees in the academic libraries. There are also chapters that analyse their impression from the working environment in these buildings. The theory part is included in the first part of this thesis and explains terms like sick building syndrome, building related illness, academic library or symptomes of the SBS. The next chapters consist of information about working environment classification, venture factors in the working environment and how SBS effects the employees that work in such buildings. The practical part consists of the research metodology base and the research design. The last part is mostly analytic and comments the answer sheets. The information evaluation is aims syndrome occurance, impact of work effectivity and evaluation of the working environment.
