Abstract:

Cílem této závěrečné práce je vytvoření česko-anglického překladového modelu zaměřeného na webové stránky Fakulty informatiky Masarykovy univerzity, který dokáže překonat aktuální komerční překladatelské služby v rámci kvality překladu. Nejdříve popisuji trénovací a testovací datasety, které byly využity při trénování a vyhodnocování modelů. Dále pak procházím různé metody, které jsem využila během trénování modelů. Nakonec pak vyhodnocuji trénované modely a porovnávám je s komerčními modely, přičemž dokazuji, že je skutečně možné vytvořit doménově specifický model, který překládá přesněji pro danou specifickou doménu než obecné komerční modely.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is the creation of a Czech to English translation model specific for the webpages of Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University that can outperform the currently commercially available models in the terms of translation quality. First I describe the train and test datasets used during training and evaluation of the models. Then I outline different techniques I have utilised during the training. Lastly, I evaluate the trained models and compare them to the commercial models, proving that it is indeed possible to create a domain specific model that performs better for the specific domain than the general commercial models.
