Předmětem práce je představení ochrany veřejného zdraví skrze životní prostředí. Nejprve jsou uvedeny nejdůležitější pojmy, od nichž se práce odvíjí, a to spolu s historickým přiblížením vývoje ochrany veřejného zdraví obecně a rovněž v právu Evropské unie.
