Mathematics in Ancient Greece
Abstract:
V této diplomové práci se věnujeme matematice v antickém Řecku. Vývoj matematiky a její rozdělení na praktickou a teoretickou větev je zpracován v širším pojetí. Práce je zaměřena na aritmetiku v podání pythagorejců a algebraickou symboliku vytvořenou Diofantem z Alexandrie, geometrie je zde obsažena pouze jako podpůrný prostředek.
Abstract:
In this thesis we study mathematics in ancient Greece. The development of mathematics and its distribution on the practical and theoretical branch is processed in broader concept. The thesis is focused on the arithmetic performed by the Pythagorean and algebraic symbolism created Diofantos of Alexandria, the geometry is included only as a support.
