Existence as a Alternative Medium: case study

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the alternative media. Research is processed into a case study one of the alternative media, anarchist revue Existence. The first goal of the research is to note the presence of structural alternative features and their conversion during different periods of magazine´s publishing. Using the method of the discursive analysis by Gee, it attempts to reveal the transformative tendencies of selected alternative discourses related to the anarchist ideology. This thesis is divided into the four parts. The first section presents the theoretical background of a selected concepts of alternative media. The methodological part provides research problems, design and survey sample and suggests an adequate method of the research. The third part is devoted to an analysis of the structural description of revue Existence and discourse analysis of selected alternative discources. The aim of the thesis it is to reveal the transformation of the concept of structural alternative aspects and ideological values of anarchist revue Existence.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá problematikou alternatívnych médií. Výskum je spracovaný do podoby prípadovej štúdie jedného alternatívneho médiá, anarchistického revue Existence. Výskum si všíma prítomnosť štrukturálnych znakov alternatívnosti a ich premenu v rozličných obdobiach vydávania časopisu. Pomocou metódy diskurzívnej analýzy podľa Geeho práca odhaľuje transformatívne tendencie vybraných alternatívnych diskurzov, ktoré súvisia s anarchistickou ideológiou. Predkladaná diplomová práca je koncipovaná do štyroch častí. Prvá časť predstavuje teoretický background vybraných konceptov alternatívnych médií. Metodologická časť stanovuje výskumný problém, konštrukciu výskumnej vzorky a navrhuje adekvátny spôsob realizácie výskumu. Tretia časť je venovaná samotnej analýze štrukturálneho popisu revue Existence a diskurzívnej analýze vybraných alternatívnych diskurzov. Cieľom diplomovej práce je odhaliť premeny konceptu alternatívnosti po štrukturálnej a ideovo-hodnotovej stránke anarchistického revue Existence.
