The communication between the teacher and pupils in mixed-age kindergarten class

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je Komunikace učitelky s žáky ve věkově smíšené třídě MŠ. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. V první z nich se zabývám vymezením teorie, která je potřebná k lepšímu porozumění danému tématu. Věnuji se charakteristice mateřské školy jako instituce, osobnosti učitelky (z hlediska profesních kompetencí i práce s dětmi) a také vývojové charakteristice dítěte předškolního věku. Dále zde popisuji, co je komunikace a jaké jsou její formy. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na popis metodologie výzkumu a obsahuje analýzu mnou získaných dat. Popisuji zde, jaké postoje zaujímají učitelky k výuce ve věkově smíšené třídě a jak vnímají rozdílný věk dětí během práce s nimi. Zjišťuji, jakou strukturu má didaktická činnost a zda během ní hraje roli věk dětí. Získaná data porovnávám s výzkumy uskutečněnými na základních a malotřídních školách.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the communication between the teacher and pupils in mixed-age kindergarten class. Thesis is divided into two main parts – the theoretical and empiric one. In the first part I focus on specifying theory needed in order to make the topic clear. I also focus on characterization of the kindergarten as an institution, teacher as a competent person and developmental characteristics of the preschool age child. I also describe communication and its forms. In the second part I present the research itself, its methodology and achieved results. Attitudes of teachers to teaching in the mixed-age class are also discussed here. I´ve also taken into account relation between the teacher’s perception of children different ages and working with them. I´ve ascertained the question of the relation between the structure of didactic activities and the age of children. At last I compare the data I´ve collected with the data from researches that have taken places in the elementary and composite classes schools.
