The aims of music education with students with special educational needs

Abstract:

Dizertační práce řeší problematiku vzdělávání žáků s postižením ve vzdělávací oblasti Umění a kultura, v předmětu Hudební výchova. V teoretické části předkládá pojednání o kategorii cíle v pedagogice (v estetické a v hudební výchově) a speciální pedagogice, analyzuje rámcové vzdělávací programy a porovnává pojetí estetické výchovy ve zmíněných pedagogických oborech. V závěrečných kapitolách teoretické části se autor kromě definice žáka se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a definování žáka se zdravotním postižením včetně charakteristiky vybraných zdravotních postižení věnuje i otázkám jejich vzdělávání těchto dětí ve Velké Británii. Základ výzkumné části dizertační práce tvoří charakteristiky prostředí a žáků sledovaných škol a jejich vzdělávacích programů a především případové studie žáků s různými typy zdravotního postižení zahrnující popis jejich participace na hudebněvýchovných činnostech. V závěrech autor řeší nejzávažnější problémy výuky v předmětu Hudební výchova v závislosti na projevech jejich postižení.

Abstract:

The dissertation deals with the issue of educating students with disabilities in the educational field of Art and culture, particularly in Music Education. The theoretical part presents a treatise on the category of objectives in pedagogy (in aesthetic and music education) and special pedagogy, it analyses framework educational programmes, and compares the concept of aesthetic education in the above mentioned pedagogical disciplines. In final chapters of the theoretical part, besides defining a student with special educational needs and a disabled student, including characteristics of selected disabilities, the author pays attention to issues of educating such students in Great Britain. The basis of the research part of the dissertation consists of characteristics of environments and students of the monitored schools and their educational programmes, and particularly of case studies of students with various kinds of disabilities, including a description of their participation in music education activities. In the final part the author deals with the most serious problems of teaching Music education depending on manifestations of their disabilities.
