Problematics of children after craniocerebral and spinal trauma

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce byla zaměřena na závažná kraniocerebrální a spinální poranění v pediatrii. Jejím cílem bylo zjistit a popsat subjektivní vnímání dětí, které utrpěly jedno ze dvou výše zmíněných traumat, jejichž následek si vyžádal urgentní ošetření, následnou dlouhodobou léčbu a alespoň jeden trvalý zdravotní následek. Dílčím cílem bylo zaměřit se na pocity rodičů těchto dětí v souvislosti s poraněním. Zkoumání bylo realizováno formou kvalitativního přístupu, prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s dětmi a jejich rodiči. Pomocí předem stanovených kritérií byli v elektronické databázi vyhledáni vhodní respondenti, kteří byli následně kontaktováni, a požádáni o spolupráci. Všechny získané odpovědi byli prostřednictvím otevřeného kódování rozděleny do výsledných řešených oblastí. 1. epikríza dítěte, 2. tělesná oblast, 3. psychická oblast, 4. sociální oblast, 5. nynější postoj dětí k následkům poranění. Podle výsledků této práce bylo zjištěno, že pokud u dětí po kraniocerebrálních traumatech nedojde vlivem úrazu k apalickému syndromu, je možné, aby dítě i nadále žilo kvalitní život. U dětí po spinálních traumatech je adaptace na běžné denní činnosti a život výrazně zhoršená zejména z důvodu trvalému odkázání na invalidní vozík.

Abstract:

This thesis was focused on severe craniocelebral and spinalinjuries in pediatrics. Its aim was to identify and describe subjective perceptions of children who have suffered one of the two traumas mentioned above, which results requested urgent treatment, resulting in prolonged treatment and at least one permanent health consequence. Part of the goal was also to focus on the feelings of the parents of these children in connection with injuries. Exploration was carried out through a qualitative approach, through semistructured interview with children and thein parents. Suitable respondents were searched for in electronic database using predetermined criteria and were subsequently contacted and asked to cooperate. All obtained responses were dividend through open coding into final solutionareas. 1. Epicrisis of the child, 2. body area, 3. psychological area, 4. social area, 5. Current attitude of children to the consequences of injury. According to theresults of this study, it was found out tha twhen persistent vegetative state doesn?t happen to children after craniocerebral trauma, it is still possible to keep a good quality of life. Adaptation of children to routine and daily activities and life after spinal traumasis and significantly worse mainly becauseof permanent confinement to a wheelchair.
