Prevention of selected pathologies related to the virtual environment in elementary schools.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá popisem a prevencí vybraných patologických jevů vztahujících se k virtuálnímu prostředí. V teoretické části je definován kyberprostor a jeho specifika, dále je zde popsáno rizikové chování uživatelů internetu, jsou zde popsané vybrané patologické jevy vztahující se k virtuálnímu prostředí, konkrétně kyberšikana, kybergrooming, kyberstalking a sexting a v neposlední řadě je zde kapitola věnovaná prevenci. Empirická část obsahuje dva výzkumy. První výzkum byl proveden u metodiků prevence a druhý výzkum se stejnými modelovými situacemi u žáků 8. a 9. tříd základních škol. Odpovědi žáků jsou porovnávány a to u škol, kde metodik prevence byl proškolen a u škol, kde metodik prevence nebyl proškolen na problematiku virtuálního prostředí. Výzkum byl prováděn formou dotazníků s modelovými situacemi a to na 15 školách po celé České republice, kdy konečný počet dotazníků byl 334. Cílem diplomové práce je tedy zjistit, zda je školní prevence těchto jevů efektivní.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with description and prevention of selected pathological phenomena which are connected to virtual environment. The theoretical part defines cyberspace and its specifics it further describes hazardous behavior of internet users and pathological phenomena which are connected to virtual environment specifically cyber bullying, cyber grooming, cyber stalking and sexting and in this part there is also a chapter devoted to prevention. The empirical part contains two research works. The first research has been made with prevention methodist and the second research with the same model situations has been made with pupils of 8th and 9th grade of elementary schools. The answers of the pupils from schools where the prevention methodist had been educated in the problematic of virtual environment were compared to the answers of the pupils from schools where the methodist had not been educated in this topic. The research has been made in a form of questionnaires with model situations at 15 schools all around the Czech Republic with the final number of questionnaires being 334. The goal of this master's thesis is to find out if the prevention of these phenomena at schools is effective enough.
