Anotácia:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám tématem učebnice z pohledu grafického designéra. V teoretické části rozebírám učebnici jako samostatný učební materiál, další možná použití učebnic, nových technologií a vizuál učebnice z grafického hlediska. Věnuji se také tématu, do jaké míry jsou existující učebnice angličtiny vyhovující z hlediska grafické úpravy. Najdeme zde informace od toho, co to učebnice je, přes její stavbu, možné použití nových technologií při její tvorbě, až k tématům dnešní doby týkající se například genderu a rasy, které se v učebnicích taky projevují. V praktické části pak z pohledu mé praxe grafického designéra a analyzuji stávající učebnice angličtiny, designérské knihy a příruček a vytvořila jsem redesign části učebnice angličtiny, který je moderní, vizuálně atraktivní a přehledný.

Abstract:

In my master thesis, I deal with the topic of the textbook from the perspective of a graphic designer. In the theoretical part I discuss the textbook as an independent teaching material, other possible uses of textbooks, new technologies and the visual of the textbook from a graphic point of view. I also address the extent to which existing English textbooks are satisfactory from a graphic design perspective. We find information ranging from what a textbook is, to its construction, to the possible use of new technologies in its creation, to contemporary issues such as gender and race that are also reflected in textbooks. In the practical part, I then take the perspective of my practice as a graphic designer and analyse existing English textbooks, design books and handbooks to create a redesign of a section of an English textbook that is modern, visually appealing and clear.
