V první kapitole práce vysvětluje obecně pojmy cestovní ruchu a jeho definice, také jsou zde rozděleny druhy a formy cestovního ruchu a zabývá se jednotlivými subjekty poskytujícími základní a doplňkové služby cestovního ruchu.
