Abstract:

Anotace Tato diplomová práce se zabývá metodami a přístupy ve výuce anglické gramatiky na 2. stupni základní školy v České republice a ve Vietnamu. Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat a porovnat přístupy, které se používají v hodinách anglického jazyka v České republice a Vietnamu, zejména při výuce gramatiky. První část práce, část teoretická, seznamuje čtenáře s gramatikou, technikami její prezentace a procvičováním. Dále jsou popsány známé přístupy k výuce angličtiny a jejich postoje k výuce gramatiky. Následně je rozebrána historie a postavení angličtiny v České republice a ve Vietnamu. Poslední podkapitola teoretické části se zabývá postavením angličtiny jako školního předmětu, trendy výuky EFL a přípravou učitelů v České republice a Vietnamu. Empirická část je věnována popisu výzkumu - metodologii, respondentům, postupům a nakonec analýze dat a výsledkům práce.

Abstract:

Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the approaches and methods in teaching English grammar at lower-secondary school level in the Czech Republic and Vietnam. The main aim of this work is to investigate and compare approaches that are employed in Czech and Vietnamese ESL classes, particularly when teaching grammar. The first part of the thesis, the theoretical part, introduces grammar, techniques used for its presentation and practice. Next, well-known approaches to English teaching and their views on grammar teaching are described. Subsequently, the history and status of English in the Czech Republic and Vietnam is discussed. The last subchapter of the theoretical part deals with the position of English as a school subject, EFL teaching trends and teacher training in the Czech Republic and Vietnam. The empirical part is devoted to research description - the methodology, respondents, procedures and lastly, to data analysis and results.
