Reakce rodičů na narození dítěte s postižením a zvládnutí takové situace z pohledu pastorační péče

Abstract:

Předmětem absolventské práce je proces smíření a vyrovnání se rodiny s narozením dítěte se závažným zdravotním postižením. Cílem mé práce je zjistit, jaké faktory ovlivňují tento proces, pokusit se zmapovat důležité spirituální potřeby rodičů a následně zhodnotit možnosti pastorační péče z hlediska pomoci v této situaci. V první části se proto zabývám procesem, který začíná oznámením této diagnózy a zpravidla znamená pro rodiče hluboké životní trauma. Důležitou roli zde hraje dlouhodobý stres, vnitřní i vnější faktory, jež ovlivňují jeho průběh a následně zvolené copingové strategie, směřující k jeho zvládnutí. Na základě analýzy tohoto procesu jsem se pokusil zmapovat hlavní spirituální potřeby rodičů a následně zhodnotit možnosti pastorační péče při pomoci v těchto případech. Výsledkem bylo zjištění, že proces, který vede k vyrovnání rodičů s postižením jejich dítěte lze z velké části zahrnout do dvou hlavních oblastí, dimenze vztahové a dimenze otázky smyslu. Jestliže pomoc ve víře chápeme rovněž jako pomoc v životě, pak základní rozměr duchovní péče v těchto případech spočívá ve snaze vytvořit prostředí, které tyto rodiče nejen chápe, ale i přijme a pomůže jim tak naplnit jejich spirituální potřeby. Neméně důležitým zdrojem podpory mohou být i biblické příběhy, které reflektují situaci rodičů a přestože nenabízí konkrétní řešení, obsahují úzdravný psychoterapeutický potenciál. Pastorační péče a do-provázení tak může v případě některých rodičů znamenat významnou a nezastupitelnou po-moc.

Abstract:

The theme of my graduate work is the process of the family conciliation and the acceptance of the childbirth in case the child is disabled. The aim of my work is to explore what factors influence this process, try to outline the essential spiritual needs of the parents and then to evaluate the possibilities of pastoral care in terms of a help in such situation. In the first part of my work I focus on the process that starts with an announcement of such diagnosis, which often means deep life trauma for the parents. Long-term stress, internal and external factors play essential role, that impact the stress progression, and the following defined coping strategies, aiming to overcome a crisis. On the basis of the analysis of this process I tried to map the main spiritual needs of the parents and subsequently analyze the possibilities of pastoral care in order to help in such cases. The outcome was a discovery that the process, which leads to the parent’s conciliation and acceptance with the child birth of the child with disabilities, can be largely included in two major parts, dimension of relation and dimension of the question of the sense. Providing we understand the help in faith equal to help in life, then the fundamental dimension of spiritual help in such cases consists of an effort of creating an environment that not only understands those parents but also accepts and help them to fulfill their spiritual needs. No less important source of a help can also be biblical stories reflecting on the situation of the parents, and although do not offer a concrete solution, they contain healing psychotherapeutic potential. Pastoral care and accompaniment can then for some parents represent a significant and irreplaceable help.
