This dissertation thesis explores selected dystopian novels written by Margaret Atwood and the contemporary relevance of themes encompassed by these works. The dystopian novels analyzed are the following: The Handmaid’s Tale, Oryx and Crake, The Year of the Flood, and The Heart Goes Last.
