Implementation of CSR Programs in a selected company

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je implementace programů společenské odpovědnosti v nadnárodní korporaci IBM. V úvodní kapitole teoretické části práce se zabývám kulturně globálním kontextem a globalizačními mechanismy vedoucími k modernitě individuální odpovědnosti a uvádím, jakými činiteli se mezinárodně stanovená kritéria zabývají v rámci hodnocení lidského rozvoje. Ve druhé kapitole se zabývám odpovědností jednotlivců a činiteli, které motivují k individuálně odpovědnému chování. Ve třetí kapitole uvádím definice konceptu CSR z pohledu zástupce korporátního sektoru a Komise Evropských společenství pro CSR. V této kapitole se také zabývám základními pilíři implementace CSR, hlavními zainteresovanými skupinami a koncepty reportování. V praktické části je uvedena implementace CSR programů v nadnárodní korporaci IBM dle stanoveného teoretického rámce, tzv. tripple bottom line. Následně uvádím ocenění, která korporace IBM v rámci CSR aktivit získala. V poslední kapitole porovnávám aktivity korporace IBM s Národním akčním plánem pro CSR v ČR.

Abstract:

The point of this bachelor thesis is based on the implementation of Corporate social responsibility programs in a multinational corporation IBM. In the introductory theoretical chapter I deal with cultural and global context of globalization mechanisms leading to modernity of individual responsibility and I mention, which factors are internationally established criteria involved in the evaluation of human development. The second chapter deals with the responsibilities of individuals and the factors that motivate the individual responsible behavior. In the third chapter I mention the definition of the concept of CSR from the perspective of representatives of the corporate sector and the Commission of the European Communities for CSR. This chapter also deals with the fundamental pillars of CSR implementation, key stakeholders and reporting concepts. The practical part includes the implementation of CSR programs in a multinational corporation according to IBM provided the theoretical framework known as Tripple bottom line. In the following I mention awards that IBM Corporation acquired in the CSR activities. In the last chapter I compare the activities of IBM Corporation and the National Action Plan for CSR in Czech Republic.
