Economic relations between EU and China - trends, actors and interests

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá trendy ve vzájemném hospodářském vztahu mezi EU a Čínou po čínském vstupu do WTO v roce 2001 s cílem komplexně uchopit toto téma v kontextu aktérů a zájmů na evropské i vybraných úrovní států - Německa, Francie a Velké Británie. Text vychází z formálního rozdělení pravomocí v rámci evropské obchodní politiky a následně se věnuje ekonomické dynamice a problematickým aspektům vztahu, vývoji spolupráce, zájmům a působení jednotlivých aktérů na evropské úrovni. V další části se práce zaměřuje na vztahy vybraných států s Čínou, trendy a aktivity. Zejména na evropské úrovni si text všímá aktivity nestátních ekonomických aktérů, kteří jsou stejně jako členské státy nedílnou součástí vnějších hospodářských vztahů mezi EU a Čínou.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with trends in the economic relations between EU and China after the Chinese accession to the WTO in 2001 with the focus on actors and interests at European and national levels of selected countries - Germany, France and Great Britain. The first part concentrates on the formal division of competences within European commercial policy. Then the attention is focused on economic dynamics and problematic aspects of the relationship between EU and China and interests and activities of actors at the European level. The next part examines bilateral relations of selected states with China, their trends and activities. Especially at European level the attention is paid to activities of non-state actors, which are considered as an integral part of external economic relations between EU and China.
