Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem placebo efektu a přibližuje nám pohledy na tento fenomén očima odborníků a také veřejnosti. Teoretická část rozlišuje fenomén placebo efektu a placeba, dále se zaobírá jejich negativní stránkou zvanou nocebo. Popisuje základní mechanismy, které se na vzniku placebo efektu podílejí, především pak očekávání a podmiňování. Dále se práce věnuje roli terapeutického vztahu vzhledem k tématu, či jeho využitím v klinické praxi. Součástí jsou zahraniční výzkumy, které tvoří většinu zdrojů poznatků. Výzkumná část je poté tvořena kvalitativním výzkumem, jehož cílem bylo zmapování pohledů na placebo efekt odborníky z řad lékařů ortopedů a neurologů a také klinických psychologů. Interpretace dat získaných pomocí polostrukturovaného interview je poté věnována jednotlivým pohledům na danou tématiku, postoji respondentů, či také etickým otázkám. Součástí je mimo to i vnímání důležitosti terapeutického vztahu očima respondentů. Druhou části výzkumu je poté kvantitativní šetření, kde byl pomocí dotazníku, zmapován pohled českého občana vzhledem k tématu, a také jeho subjektivní názor na postoj české populace vůči placebo efektu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the theme of placebo effect and brings us a perspective on this phenomenon through the eyes of experts and the public. The theoretical part distinguishes the placebo effect and placebo phenomenon, as well as its negative side calls nocebo. It describes the crucial mechanisms that contribute to the placebo effect, especially expectations and conditioning. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the role of the therapeutic relationship with regard to the topic or its use in clinical practice. The majority of literature sources is represented by the foreign research. The empirical part is then formed by qualitative research, the aim of which was to map the views of the placebo effect by orthopedists and neurologists experts as well as clinical psychologists. Interpretation of collected data using a semi-structured interview is then devoted to individual views of the topic, the attitudes of respondents, or ethical issues. Part of this is also dedicated to the perception of the importance of the therapeutic relationship through the eyes of the respondents. The second part of the research is a quantitative survey, where the questionnaire surveyed the Czech citizen's view of the theme, as well as his subjective view of the attitude of the Czech population towards the placebo effect.
