The Principle of Equal Educational Opportunities in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá principem rovných vzdělávacích příležitostí z různých úhlů pohledu s cílem přiblížit jej na příkladu České republiky. V první části se zaměřím na charakteristiku vybraných teorií, které se zabývají určitou složkou daného principu. Jedná se o teorie spravedlnosti, teorie vzdělávání, teorie vzdělanostních nerovností a v neposlední řadě teorie stratifikačních procesů. Další část je zaměřena na hledání principu rovných vzdělávacích příležitostí ve vybraných strategických a jiných dokumentech v mezinárodní perspektivě a dále s důrazem na jejich implementaci v českém prostředí. Poslední část je věnována vybraným výzkumným šetřením, která byla realizována v posledních letech, a která se zabývají naplňováním principu rovných vzdělávacích příležitostí v České republice. V diskuzi jsou pak zhodnoceny všechny tři zkoumané části s ohledem na konkrétní potřeby a následná doporučení v otázce naplňování principu rovných vzdělávacích příležitostí.

Abstract:

The work deals with the principle of equal educational opportunities from various angles presenting good practice from the Czech Republic. The first part is focused on the characteristics of selected theories dealing with a particular component of the above mentioned principle. It is a theories of justice, the theories of education, theories of educational inequality and, last but not least, theories of stratification processes. The next part will focus on the search for the principle of equal educational opportunities in selected strategic and other documents in an international perspective and with an emphasis on thein implementation the Czech environment. The last part focuses on selected research surveys have been implemented in recent years, and deal with the fulfilment of the principle of equal educational opportunities in the Czech environment. In the discussion all of the three investigated segments are evaluated with begard to the particular needs and consequent recommendations regarding the implementation of the principle of equal education opportunities.
