Strategies of local politics Občanské demokratické strany in the Teplice

Abstract:

Občanská demokratická strana je stranou liberálně pravicovou. Zastává tedy hodnoty klasické pravice. Hlavním cílem této strany je tedy podpora podnikatelů, omezení byrokracie a nezasahovat lidem zbytečně do života. Vznikla v roce 1992 po rozpadu Občanského fóra. ODS si vybudovala dobrou pozici na celostátní úrovni i přesto, že její popularita měla spíše sinusoidní charakter až do roku 2006, kdy zaznamenala největší úspěch. Poté ale popularita této strany začala klesat. Teplice jsou jedním z mála měst s jasnou dominancí Občanské demokratické strany již od roku 1994. Tento rok se ODS poprvé zúčastnila voleb. Tato situace je způsobena z převážné většiny osobností pana primátora Jaroslava Kubery. Ve své práci se pokusím o analýzu vývoje Občanské demokratické strany, zejména na komunální úrovni. Dále se pokusím nalézt příčiny silné dominance ODS v Teplicích a důvody oblíbenosti primátora Jaroslava Kubery jako nejdéle sloužícího starosty a primátora v České republice.

Abstract:

The Civic democratic part (Občanská demokratická strana) is a right-wing liberal party,that holds the values of the classical right,therefore, its main goalis to support entrepreneurs, reduce bureaucracy, and avoid unnecessary interference in people’slives. It was established in 1992 after the collapse of the Civic forum (Občanské forum). The ODS has built a good positional the national level, despote the factthatits popularity had it sups and downsuntil 2006 when it was the most successful, but after that the popularity ofthe party began to decline. Teplice are one of the few cities with a clear dominance of the Civic Democratic Party since 1994. This year, CDP (ODS) participated in the elections for the first time.This situation is due to the personality of the mayor Jaroslav Kubera. The thesis tries to analyze the evolution of the Civic Democratic Party, particularly at the local level, it also tries to find the cause of the strong dominance of CDP in Teplice and find the reasons for the popularity of the mayor Jaroslav Kubera as the longest-serving mayor in the Czech Republic
