Prodej pojištění byl vždy závislý na fyzickém kontaktu mezi pojišťovacím agentem a zákazníkem. Příchod pandemie viru COVID-19 a související vládní restrikce způsobily, že pojišťovny musely reagovat na turbulentní změny prostředí a na základě toho došlo k aktualizaci obchodního modelu při distribuci pojištění.
