Abstract:

JANKŮ, M.: Mateřství a dětství očima žen různých generací. Magisterská diplomová práce (psychologie), Masarykova univerzita, Fakulta sociálních studií, Brno 2008. Anotace Diplomová práce Mateřství očima žen různých generací je zaměřena na mapování představ žen tří generací o dětech a dětství a jejich možného významu v mateřství těchto žen. V teoretické části je podán přehled témat relevantních k výzkumným cílům. Autorka vnímá mateřství jako sociálně a kulturně proměnlivou kategorii. Vzhledem k tomu je v teoretické části větší pozornost věnována obrazům mateřství a dětství a témat s tím souvisejících tak, jak jsou konstruovány na společenskovědní rovině v českém prostředí se zřetelem k západoevropskému kontextu v průběhu historie až do současnosti. Výzkum je realizovaný pomocí kvalitativní metodologie. Soustředí se na analýzu rozhovorů se ženami o mateřství a dětství. Ženy byly rozděleny podle věku do tří generací: nejmladší (25-39 let, střední (40-54 let) a nejstarší (55 a více let). K analýze byly použity jak autorské rozhovory, tak rozhovory, které byly uskutečněny M. Čuhelovou v rámci její diplomové práce (Čuhelová, 2006). Z analýzy rozhovorů vyplynulo, že mateřství a tedy i děti představují pro ženy významnou hodnotu, ale současně došlo ke snížení intenzity vnímání mateřství jako osudu ženy. Stálá je napříč generacemi idea šťastného a bezstarostného dětství. Dětství vlastních dětí hodnotí většina žen z pozic vlastního dětství, které je do jisté míry idealizováno a také z pozice matky, což znamená, že v něm více zpřítomňují možná rizika a ohrožení. Prožívání mateřství se mezigeneračně nezměnilo, ale analýza naznačuje, že došlo k proměně ve vnímání a intenzitě projevů mateřské lásky. Při interpretaci je zvažována míra vlivu důrazu, jež se dnes klade na naplňování potřeb dítěte u žen nejmladší generace. U žen nejstarší generace je zvažována větší míra vlivu transgeneračního přenosu vzorců, který současně odpovídal dobovým zvyklostem ve výchově a přístupu k dětem. Analýza rovněž ukazuje na proměnu v přístupu k dětem. V souvislosti s touto proměnou je naznačen možný vliv proměny představ o tom, kým je dítě (pasivní tvarovatelná bytost vs. osobnost s kvalitativně odlišným způsobem myšlení, prožívání a chování) a o tom jaké má potřeby. Představy o dítěti jsou rovněž kladeny do souvislosti se sebehodnocením žen v roli matky. K základním potřebám dítěte ženy nezávisle na generaci řadí vřelý emoční vztah k blízké osobě a individuální přístup minimálně do dvou let dítěte. Možný konflikt mezi vnímanými potřebami dítěte a vlastní potřebou seberealizace je řešen s ohledem na obě strany. Větší míra vlivu ideálu sebeobětující se matky je zvažována u žen, které vnímají omezení jako povinnost matky („musím“ vs. „chci“). Míra akceptace této reflektované povinnosti se mezi jednotlivými ženami liší.

JANKŮ, M.: Motherhood And Childhood In A View Of Several Generations Of Women. M.A.Thesis in Psychology. Masaryk University, Faculty of Social Science, Brno 2008. The thesis Motherhood And Childhood In A View Of Several Generations Of Women aims to map the views of women of three generations on children and childhood and to discuss their potential meanings in the motherhood of these women. The theoretical part of thesis concentrates on topics that are relevant to the aims of the research. The emphasize is laid on presenting the changes to images of motherhood and childhood especially in Czech Republic in context of Western Europe as an evidence of variability of both constructs. The thesis reviews the historically important changes and includes some psychological theories that relate to maternity and childhood. It also comments on the contributions of the Czech developmental psychology of the children to the topic. The research is realized by qualitative methodolgy The aim of the research was to analyse and discuss the interviews conducted to elicit comments from women of three generations on motherhood and childhood. For the purposes of this research, women were divided into three groups, which were as follows: the youngest generation, aged 20 to 39; the middle generation, aged 35 to 50; and the oldest generation, aged 51 to 75. Both the author’s interviews and the interviews elaborated on in the thesis of M. Čuhelová (2006) were included. Analysis of interviews, on the basis of grounded theory, discovered inter-generatinal changes in the perception and intensity of how mothers shows out their love in relation to their concept of children needs. Another finding was that there were intergenerational changes in the attitudes towards children, as a practical aspect of maternity that is probably related to changes in imagines of children and their needs. Ideas of children are also set into relation with self-evaluation of women in their role of mother. Maternity and children are of great value to women of all generations. For the women of the youngest generation in particular, hovewer, to be a women does not necessarily mean to be a mother. Childhood, according to women of all ages, is associated with carelesness, hapiness, love and so on. The judgements that the women make about the childhood of their children are influenced by their own idealized childhood. As a result, the women find out much more risks and problems in the childhood of their own childer than in that of their own. Women of all generations emphasized the need of a secure and warm emotional relationship to a close person and the need of individual care to the youngest children. A possible conflict between the children's needs as perceived by the women and women’s own needs has been approached with respect to both sides.
