Práce se zabývá překladem textů z angličtiny do češtiny se specializací na texty o baletním umění. První část práce je věnována teorii překladu, metodám překladu a překážkám, jimž překladatel každodenně čelí. Další část se věnuje speciální baletní terminologii a jejím překladem do angličtiny. The bachelor´s thesis deals with the topic of the translation from English to Czech, the texts elaborated are specialized in the ballet. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the translation theories, the methodology of the translation and obstacles the translators must face to everyday.
