Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor diploma thesis is the study of humour, especially of irony and sarcasm, in the first three seasons of the sitcom Two and a Half Men. The thesis analyses the violation of Grice’s Cooperative Principle, using irony and sarcasm and their impact on creation of humour and humorous situations.
