Concept of death in preschool age

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o dětském vnímání a pojímání fenoménu smrti, přičemž pojednává také o rozhodujících faktorech, které vývoj pojetí smrti ovlivňují. Jsou to například média, komunikace v rodině, literatura či vlastní zkušenost. Teoretická část je zaměřená na vývoj dětského pojímání, vývoj konceptu smrti a faktory, které mají na vývoj dětského pojetí smrti vliv. Také se věnuji komponentám konceptu smrti, které je nutné pochopit, právě abychom dokázali pochopit celý fenomén smrti. Praktická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu předškolních dětí a je zaměřena na to, jak děti chápou jednotlivé komponenty smrti. Dále se zaměřuje také na vliv komunikace v rodině na pochopení fenoménu smrti a vliv vlastní zkušenosti se smrtí blízké osoby či mazlíčka.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with children's perception and conception of the phenomenon of death, while also discussing the decisive factors that influence the development of the concept of death. These are, for example, media, family communication, literature or personal experience. The theoretical part focuses on the development of children's conception, development of the concept of death and factors that influence the development of children's conception of death. I am also devoted to the components of the concept of death, which must be understood precisely in order to understand the whole phenomenon of death. The practical part is based on qualitative research of pre-school children and focuses precisely on how children understand the individual components of death. It also focuses on the influence of communication in the family on understanding the phenomenon of death and the influence of one's own experience with the death of a loved one or pet.
