Abstract:

Práce obsahuje průběžné dosažené výsledky v průzkumu lakovaného nábytku ve sbírkách na území České republiky. Vzhledem k tomu, že tento výzkum by měl být v podstatě pilotním výzkumem, kde by měla být nesporně funkční a jednoduchá metodika práce následně aplikována na výrazně větší množství lakových prací, jejichž výzkum by nepochybně přinesl ještě přesvědčivější výsledky, obsahuje první část zatím největší publikovaný přehled nábytku zdobeného laky v českých mobiliárních fondech. V další části obsahuje poprvé do češtiny přeložené a technologickým komentářem opatřené části nejznámějšího receptáře týkajícjího se tvorby evropských nápodob orientálních lakových prací od autorů Johna Stakera a George Parkera, který vyšel již v roce 1888 v Londýně a rovněž technologickým komentářem opatřený překlad receptu na zřejmě nejslavnější evropskou lakovou kompozici, vernis Martin. Podrobné zkoumání receptur i způsobů aplikace vede k závěrům, že v některých případech ještě v současné době není zcela jasná naprosto přesná identifikace některých surovin stejně jako existují drobné nejasnosti v technologických postupech nanášení. Technologické poznatky se pak v další části promítají do výzkumu složení lakových souvrství, které byly pomocí mikroskopie, a to jak v oraženém bílém světle, tak UV fluorescenční mikroskopie, na celkem čtyřech konvolutech předmětů, a to na předmětech z Moravské galerie v Brně, muzea ve Velkém Meziříčí, státního zámku v Rájci nad Svitavou a státního zámku v Hradci nad Moravicí. Samostatně byly přibrány dva předměty ze soukromých sbírek. Výsledky naznačují, že, jak bylo předvídáno, existují technologické okruhy, do nichž by bylo možné jednotlivé předměty rozdělit podle skladu vrstev lakových souvrství. V komparaci s výsledky průzkumu receptářů je jasné, že technologická pestrost je výrazně větší, jak bylo opět předvídáno. Přesto se ve výsledcích objevují souvrství, která odpovídají komentovaným receptářům. Také se podařilo prokázat poměrně snadnou identifikovatelnost originálních orientálních laků a jejich poměrně snadnou rozlišitelnost pomocí zmiňovaných mikroskopických technik. Zároveň se podařilo přispět k poznání, že asijské lakové techniky jsou technologicky méně pestré a technologie jsou výrazně rigidněji dodržované, než je tomu v evropském prostředí. Jde o zatím největší publikované množství pramenného materiálu v českém prostředí ve vědě o historii nábytku vůbec.

Abstract:

The work contains the results achieved in the survey of painted furniture in collections in the territory of the Czech Republic.Given that this research should be essentially a pilot research, where the undoubtedly functional and simple methodology of work should subsequently be applied to a significantly larger number of lacquer works, the research of which would undoubtedly bring even more convincing results the first part contains the largest published report Furniture decorated with lacquer in the Czech mobiliary funds. In the next part it contains the first czech translation and technological comment of the part of the most famous recipe for the creation of the European imitation of oriental lacquer works by John Staker and George Parker, which was published in London in 1888, as well as a commentary on the translation of a recipe about the most famous European Varnish composition, Vernis Martin. Detailed examination of recipes and its application methods leads to the conclusion that, in some cases, the exact identification of certain raw materials is not entirely clear at present, as there are minor uncertainties in the application technology. Technological findings are then reflected in the next part of the research on the composition of lacquer strats, which were using microscopy, both in white light and UV fluorescence microscopy, on four convolutes of objects on objects from the Moravian Gallery in Brno, museum in Velké Meziříčí, state chateau in Rájec nad Svitavou and state chateau in Hradec nad Moravicí. Two items from private collections were taken as well. The results suggest that, as predicted, there are technological circuits where individual objects could be divided according to the composition of lacquer strats. In comparison with the results of the material in first ppart of the paper, it is clear that the technological diversity is considerably larger, than previously anticipated. Still, there are stacks in the results that match the commented recipients. Also, the easiest identification of the original oriental lacquers and their relatively easy resolution through the mentioned microscopic techniques was demonstrated. At the same time, it has helped to realize that Asian lacquer techniques are technologically less varied and technologies are much more rigorously adhered to than in the European environment. It woul be the material for next research and it is as well the largest published convolut of primary material in the Czech environment in the history of furniture history at all.
