Residence of EU Citizen and their family members in the Czech republic

Abstract:

V posledních dvou letech je vnímána migrace velkou částí Evropské unie velmi negativně. Souvisí to s migrační vlnou, která velmi výrazně zasáhla Evropu v loňském roce. Uprchlíci ze Středního východu a z Afriky, kteří se dostali do zemí EU, vyvolávají značné problémy a rizika. Je logické, že tyto události zastínily pozitivní aspekty migrace, které souvisejí se svobodou volného pohybu osob občanů EU. Smlouvou o EU zavedený prvek evropského občanství garantuje každému občanu členské země řadu práv vzhledem k Unii samotné i k ostatním členským zemím. Na druhou stranu jsou tato práva vázána na určité povinnosti. Občan EU sice může trvale či dočasně pobývat na území jiné členské země EU, avšak pouze tehdy, splní-li jasně formulované legislativou stanovené podmínky. Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na přechodný a trvalý pobyt občanů členských zemí Evropské unie a podmínky jejich udělování na území České republiky. Autorka čerpá nejen z odborné literatury, významným zdrojem informací je též její profesní praxe.

Abstract:

In the last two years we have seen migration of much of the European Union very negatively. It has to do with a migration wave that hit Europe dramatically last year. Refugees from the Middle East and Africa, who arrive in the EU, causing considerable problems and risks. It is logical that these events have overshadowed the positive aspects of migration, which relate to the right of freedom of movement of EU citizens. By the EU Treaty introduced an element of European citizenship guarantees every citizen of the Member States a series of rights in relation to the Union as well as the other member states. On the other hand, those rights are subject to certain obligations. Citizen EU may temporarily or permanently reside in the territory of another EU country, but only if they meet the clearly worded legislation specified conditions. This bachelor thesis is focused on the temporary and permanent residence of citizens of European Union member countries and the conditions for granting the Czech Republic. The author draws not only from literature, a major source of information is also of her professional practice.
