Abstract:

Výsledkem mé diplomové práce je kolekce, kterou jsem nazval EYE OF UNIVERSE a která se skládá z devíti broží. Šperky vychází z vnitřního prostoru oční duhovky. EYE OF UNIVERSE poukazují na fakt, že všichni jsme součástí jednoho celku, což se navenek projevuje mnohými paralelami. Brože jsou vytvořeny postupným litím plexiskla, do kterého jsou zalité různé barvy perleti. Při pohybu získávají plochy vnitřní hloubku. Tyto ploché vesmíry jsou nasazeny na ocelovou konstrukci z drátu ve tvaru kruhu, ze kterých vychází ocelové "přímky", se kterými lze manipulovat a tím měnit celkový tvar šperku, protože ostatně vesmír i oko se neustále proměňují. Největší EYE OF UNIVERSE má na délku 34 cm a nejmenší 7 cm. Jejich tloušťka se liší podle počtu a šíře nalitých vrstev. Nejtenčí vrstva má šíři 1,5 mm, ta nejširší má 3,5 mm. Dvě z broží jsou průhledné (transparentní) a v kombinaci s modrou perletí mají připomínat vesmírnou mlhovinu. Další dvě z nich jsou vytvořeny ze dvou ploch umístěných nad sebou. U jedné z nich je vrchní plocha transparentní a u druhé je vrchní plocha tmavá. Dolní plocha je u obou tmavá. Ostatní brože jsou jednovrstvé v různých kombinacích s modrou, zelenou a zlatou perletí. Každá brož má v zadní části na ocelové okruži přisvářené jehly na upevnění brože na oděv. Čtyři rozměrnější EYE OF UNIVERSE obsahují tři jehly pro pevnější uchycení, ostatní vždy dvě.

Abstract:

As my diploma work I have created a set of brooches. The name of this set is EYE OF UNIVERSE and the set consists of nine brooches. The brooches are inspired by inner space of human iris. The name of set EYE OF UNIVERSE refers to the fact, that we all are part of Universe and there are parallels between us and Universe. Brooches are created by sequential pouring of Plexiglas and by adding different colours of pearl. And when man stirs these brooches, they get inner deepness. Such a "flat universes" are put on steel construction made of wire and they have a shape of circle. Out of these circles stick up steel bars. And it is possible to change the shape of brooch by manipulating these bars. Anyway both eye and universe are constantly changing its shape. The biggest EYE OF UNIVERSE has length 34 cm, the smallest has length 7 cm. Brooch thickness differs based on number and thickness of individual layers of Plexiglas. The thinnest individual layer has 1,5 mm, the widest one has 3,5 mm. Two of brooches are transparent and they are combined with blue pearl. They are intended to remind nebula. Another two brooches are made of two parts. Upper and bottom part. The bottom part is dark for both brooches. However the upper part for one brooch is dark and for the second one is transparent. The remaining brooches have one layer and they are combined with blue, green and golden pearl. Every brooch has pins fasten to steel circle at the back side of brooch. These pins allow attaching the brooch on clothes. Four bigger brooches have three pins; the remaining three brooches have only two pins.
