Mental representation of the health concept by children and adolescents of different age groups.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá mentální reprezentací pojmu zdraví u dětí a žáků od předškolního věku až po ukončení povinné školní docházky. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaká je mentální reprezentace pojmu zdraví u dětí a žáků v různém věku. Dále je práce zaměřena na popis mentální reprezentace pojmu podpora zdraví. V teoretické části práce jsou informace o zdraví, zdravém životním stylu, prevenci, výchově ke zdraví, psychickém vývoji dětí a vnitřním poznatkovém systému dětí. Ve výzkumné části je popsáno výzkumné šetření a jeho výsledky. Byly použity metody kvalitativního výzkumu, jak pro sběr, tak zpracování dat. Sběr dat probíhal metodou „nakresli a napiš“, doplněnou o polostrukturované rozhovory. Pro zpracování výsledků byl za pomoci otevřeného kódování vybrán reprezentativní vzorek dvaceti žáků.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the mental representation of the health concept in children and pupils from preschool age until the completion of the compulsory school education. The aim of the thesis is to find out what is the mental representation of the health concept in children and pupils of various age. It also aims to describe mental representations of the concept of health support. The theoretical part includes information on health, healthy lifestyle, prevention, health education, children’s psychological development and children’s inner knowledge system. The research part describes the research survey and its outcome. Qualitative research methods were used for both collecting and processing the data. The method of “draw and write” together with semi-structured interviews was used for data collection. Using open coding a representative sample of twenty pupils was used for data processing.
