Abstract:

The present doctoral thesis deals with the development of literature and literary life of the Cieszyn/Těšín Silesia after 1989, and the author of the thesis emphasizes compact and areal depicting all aspects and trends of this literature, i.e. that the object of the author's research includes the works written in Polish (on the Polish side of Cieszyn Silesia, and the region behind the Olše river), and also in Czech. This point of view is considered by the author as extremely important to understanding current developments of Těšín literature, when the middle and younger generation of writers from Těšín region comes with a new view of the region, its history and culture, and a common indicator of most literary manifestations and events is undoubtedly the “openness to the multicultural roots of the region". The thesis consists of two basic parts. In the first one the author of the thesis deals with the history of the Těšín literature since its first, written beginnings to the post-war development. Much of the robustness of this section, although not directly subject of this work stems from the author's efforts to draw a coherent picture of Těšín literature in the concept of the areal investigation.The second part is thematically divided into four chapters - the works by authors from the Polish side of Cieszyn/Těšín Silesia, the works by authors, who identify themselves as authors from the region behing the Olše River and works written by Czech authors. The works by authors, who write in Lachian dialect, is discussed separately. The largest part is devoted to the literature of the region behind the Olše River that by its development and content most reflects the complexity of the frontier spirit.

Abstract:

Předložená disertační práce se zabývá vývojem literatury a literárního života na Těšínském Slezsku po roce 1989. Autor práce klade důraz na celistvé, areálové zobrazování veškerých aspektů a tendencí této literatury. V ohnisku autorova bádání se ocitá literární tvorba psaná polsky (na polské straně Těšínského Slezska a v tzv. „Zaolzí“) a rovněž v jazyce českém. Toto hledisko považuje autor za nesmírně důležité k pochopení současného vývoje těšínské literatury, kdy střední a mladá generace autorů z Těšínska přichází s novým pohledem na region, jeho dějiny a kulturu. Společným indikátorem většiny literárních projevů a události je bezpochyby „otevřenost multikulturním kořenům regionu“. Celá práce se skládá ze dvou základních částí. V první z nich se autor práce zabývá dějinami těšínské literatury - od jejích prvních písemných počátků až po poválečný vývoj. Značný rozsah této části, jež není hlavním tématem této práce, pramení z autorovy snahy vykreslit celkový obraz těšínské literatury v rámci areálového zkoumání. Druhá část je tematicky rozdělena do čtyř skupin – tvorba autorů z polské strany Těšínského Slezska, tvorba autorů identifikujících se jako „zaolziacy“, díla psaná českými autory na Těšínsku. Samostatně je pak prezentována tvorba autorů píšících v lašském nářečí. Nejrozsáhlejší část je věnována literatuře na „Zaolzí“, která svým vývojem a obsahem nejlépe odráží spletitost a komplikovanost příhraničního ducha.
