Novice and experienced teachers' views on the use of didactic resources in the teaching of the Russian language in lower secondary schools

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím didaktických prostředků ve výuce ruského jazyka z pohledu začínajících a zkušených učitelů. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak učitelé nahlížejí na používání didaktických pro-středků a porovnat názory začínajících a zkušených pedagogů. Teore-tická část práce vymezuje didaktické prostředky jako prvky edukační-ho procesu, popisuje jejich funkce a typy a charakterizuje rozdíly mezi začínajícím a zkušeným učitelem. Praktická část představuje kvalita-tivní výzkum realizovaný pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se 14 učiteli ruštiny na základních školách. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že začínající i zkušení učitelé považují používání didaktických prostředků za nezbytné a velmi přínosné. Shodují se, že vhodně zvolené prostředky napomáhají lepšímu zvládnutí učiva, zvyšují atraktivitu předmětu a umožňují procvičovat jazyk komplexně. Učitelé využívají pestrou škálu materiálů od tradičních učebnic až po moderní technologie. Při hodno-cení učebnicových souborů oceňovali především jejich grafické zpraco-vání, systematičnost ve výkladu gramatiky a podporu samostatnosti žáků. Za nejužitečnější a nejefektivnější typy didaktických prostředků považují interaktivní metody výuky a samostatnou práci žáků. Velmi rozšířenou praxí je tvorba vlastních didaktických prostředků. Práce přinesla cenné poznatky o tom, jak učitelé ruštiny vnímají a využívají didaktické prostředky ve své praxi a poukázala na důležitost jejich vhodného výběru a didaktického zpracování s ohledem na potřeby žá-ků a cíle výuky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of didactic tools in Russian lan-guage teaching from the perspective of novice and experienced teach-ers. The aim of the thesis was to find out how teachers view the use of didactic means and to compare the opinions of novice and experienced teachers. The theoretical part of the thesis defines didactic means as elements of the educational process, describes their functions and types, and characterizes the differences between novice and experi-enced teachers. The practical part is qualitative research conducted using semi-structured interviews with 14 lower secondary school Rus-sian teachers. The results of the research showed that both novice and experienced teachers consider the use of didactic resources to be nec-essary and very beneficial. They agree that appropriately chosen re-sources help to better master the subject matter, increase the attrac-tiveness of the subject and allow practicing the language comprehen-sively. Teachers use a variety of materials ranging from traditional textbooks to modern technology. When evaluating the textbook sets, they particularly appreciated their graphic design, systematic grammar interpretation and support for pupils' independence. The most useful and effective types of didactic tools were interactive teaching methods and independent work of pupils. A very widespread practice is the cre-ation of their own didactic resources. The paper has provided valuable insights into how Russian language teachers perceive and use didactic resources in their practice and has pointed out the importance of their appropriate selection and didactic elaboration with regard to the needs of pupils and the goals of teaching.
