Abstract:

Práce je soubornou studií, která se zaměřila v první části na sbírky uměleckých děl. Nejprve teoreticky vysvětluje a definuje, co je to sbírka uměleckých děl. Nechybí ani zmínka o práci a ochraně takovéto sbírky. Dalším bodem práce je stručný přehled historického vývoje od starověkých kultur až po současné sbírky v muzeích a galeriích v České republice. Každá sbírka má také svůj soupis. Seznam, jež přesně a neomylně popisuje a zaznamenává vše co obsahuje. Tyto seznamy se na první pohled zdají být nepodstatné, ale mohou mít velkou vypovídací hodnotu. Stávají se tak důležitým dokumentem, jenž mohou rozhodně ovlivnit pohled na danou problematiku. Kromě této teoretické části práce se zaměřuje na názorný příklad konkrétní galerie ? Galerie výtvarného umění v Náchodě. Velmi stručně popisuje podněty a příčiny, které daly vzniknout této galerii. Ve stručnosti se zmiňuje i sběratelská činnost a mecenát v Náchodě. Další část práce popisuje a analyzuje její sbírku uměleckých děl, jak vznikala a jakým způsobem se do galerie umělecká díla dostávala. Vzhledem k rozsáhlému sbírkovému fondu se práce orientuje na podsbírku obrazů. Kromě analýzy, stručného popisu a uvedení některých významných obrazů naznačuje i jejich využití ve výstavách. Poslední část je věnována otázkám českému malířství zastoupeného uměleckými díly ve sbírce Galerie výtvarného umění v Náchodě. Nechybí ani jejich obsáhlý soupis, který by mě sloužit jako základ vědeckého katalogu.

Abstract:

The thesis is a comprehensive study focusing on art collections in its first part. At first, there is a theoretical explanation and definition of what a collection of artworks is. Work pertaining to this collection and its conservation is discussed as well. The following part of the thesis presents a brief outline of the historical development from ancient cultures to present-day collections in museums and galleries in the Czech Republic. Every collection is accompanied by its list. The list contains precise and correct descriptions and records of all artworks contained in the collection. These lists may seem unnecessary at the first glance, however, they provide us with valuable information. They thus become an important document which can significantly alter our perspective of the given subject matter. Apart from the theoretical part, the thesis also focuses on a particular example of a specific art gallery ? the Gallery of Fine Arts in Náchod. The impetuses and reasons for its establishment are briefly mentioned. A short section also deals with the collecting activity and patronage in Náchod. The other part of the thesis describes and analyses the gallery?s art collection, its evolution and acquisition of artworks for the collection. Owing to an extensiveness of the collection, the thesis focuses on its sub-collection of paintings. Analyses, brief descriptions, and mentioning of some important paintings are included, as well as their utilization in exhibitions. The last part of the thesis deals with Czech painting and its representation by artworks in the collections of the Gallery of Fine Arts in Náchod. Its extensive list, which is intended to serve as a basis for a scientific catalogue, also forms part of this thesis.
