Complementary anthroponyms of 18th ct. guild members

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zpracování antroponymického materiálu získaného z cechovních písemností uložených v archivních fondech jednotlivých hradeckých cechů v rozmezí třiceti let (1750–1780). Ve funkci oficiálních osobních jmen se uplatňují jména křestní, příjmí slouží k jednoznačnější identifikaci, ale jsou již téměř závazná. Předmětem zájmu jsou pojmenování příslušníků cechů, specifická oblast antroponymie, které dosud nebyla věnována dostatečná pozornost. První část diplomové práce věnujeme písemnostem cechovní provenience a jednotlivým hradeckým cechům, dále oficiálním osobním jménům, která rozdělíme podle původu. V druhé části se zaměříme na příjmí, která roztřídíme podle jejich motivací. V závěru zobrazíme situaci pojmenování v době jednojmennosti a potvrdíme, popř. vyvrátíme, Benešovu hypotézu o tovaryšských jménech vycházející z publikace O českých příjmeních (1962).

Abstract:

The concern of this dissertation is processing the anthroponym´s material got from guild´s documents placed in archives of single guilds in Hradec Králové in period of thirty years (1750 – 1780). First names are important in the function of personal names, second names are used to identify more unequivocally, but they are almost obligatory. The subject of my interest is to name the guild members, specific part of anthroponyms, where attention has not been important so far. In the first part of dissertation we focus on documents of guild´s provenance and on single guilds in Hradec Králové, then on official personal names, which we divide according to the origin. In the second part of dissertation we focus on second names, which we divide according to their motivation. At the end of dissertation we describe the situation of designation in times, when people officialy used only one name (first name) and we confirm or disprove the theory of Mr. Beneš about journeyman´s names come from the book O českých příjmení (1962).
