Problem of pain in cancer patients

Abstract:

Cílem průzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, zda ve zdravotnickém zařízení Radioterapie a.s. Nový Jičín je bolest u onkologicky nemocných pacientů postiženými metastázemi v rámci jejich komplexní onkologické léčby bolesti dobře saturována. V teoretické části je popsána definice bolesti, možnosti její léčby, péče o pacienty v terminálním stádiu, bolest v paliativní medicíně a ošetřovatelská diagnóza bolest v nanda doménách. V empirické části této práce je popsána intenzita bolesti u pacientů onkologicky nemocných postižených metastázemi před komplexní onkologickou léčbou bolesti a po ní. A nakolik bolest před komplexní onkologickou léčbou bolesti a po ní ovlivňovala sedm oblastí jejich každodenních činností, stavů a vztahů. Průzkumné šetření proběhlo za pomocí zkrácené verze dotazníku Brief Pain Inventory (BPI), u kterého v této době probíhá standardizace. Z výsledků průzkumného šetření vyplývá závěr, že u onkologicky nemocných pacientů postižených metastázemi léčených v tomto komplexním onkologickém centru je léčba bolesti ze strany zdravotnického personálu dobře saturována a léčba bolesti samotnými pacienty dobře vnímána.

Abstract:

The aim of the exploration work was to find out whether metastasis suffering oncology patient?s pain is well saturated during the complex oncology cure in medical facility ?Radioterapie a.s. Nový Jičín?. In theoretical part the definition of pain is described, also possibilities of cure pain, care of patients in terminal stage, pain in lenitixe medicine and nursering diagnose of pain in nanda domain. In empiric part of this work the metastasis suffering oncology patient?s intensity of pain is described. The intensity is measured before and after the complex oncology cure. How much pain influence seven areas of everyday life, being and relationships, before the complex oncology cure of pain and after it. The exploration work was done with the help of short version of questionaire Brief Pain Inventory (BPI) which is being standardised now. The result of the exploration work said that oncology suffering patients with metastasis being cured in this complex oncology centre the treatment of pain is well saturated by the medical stuff and the pain?s treatment is well perceived by patients.
