The Changes of Collective Identity Environmental Movements

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje proměnám dimenzí kolektivní identity vybraných českých environmentálních organizací. Stěžejními teoretickými perspektivami práce jsou teorie nových sociálních hnutí, teorie mobilizace zdrojů, Melucciho pojetí kolektivní identity, Dianiho meziorganizační vazby organizací a proces institucionalizace. Na základě těchto teorií jsou formulována dvě vstupní očekávání. První tvrdí, že s rostoucí institucionalizací organizací sociálních hnutí se zvětšuje podíl afektivních vazeb nad vazbami transakčními. Naopak druhé očekávání hovoří o tom, že organizace s větší mírou institucionalizace se také více racionalizují, a tak vazby mezi nimi se podobají spíše transakcím. Celá práce se tedy snaží odpovědět na otázku, jak souvisí různé úrovně a dimenze institucionalizace organizací českého environmentálního hnutí s charakterem jejich kolektivní identity, která je v práci konceptualizována jako vnější meziorganizační vztahy sledovaných organizací sociálního hnutí?

Abstract:

This work is devoted to changes of dimensions of collective identity selected Czech environmental organizations. Principal theoretical perspectives of the work are Theory of New Social Movements, Resource Mobilization Theory, Melucci's conception of collective identity, Diani's inter-organizational bonds of organizations and process of institutionalization. Based on these theories, two initial expectations are formulated. First of them claims that with growing institutionalization of social movement organizations grows also a share of affective bonds in contrast to transactional bonds. On the other hand, second expectation claims that organizations with higher rate of institutionalization are more rationalized, therefore bonds between them change from affective to transactional more likely. The work tries to answer the question: how are various levels and dimensions of institutionalization of organizations of Czech environmental movement with the character of their collective identity that is at work conceptualized as an external inter-organizational relationships monitored organizations social movement?
