Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na projekt EU s názvem „Evropská hlavní města kultury“. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit potenciál projektu hlavních měst kultury a analyzovat jeho dopad na cestovní ruch města Plzně. Dále je práce věnována tomu, jaký měl projekt vliv na celkovou přeměnu města a zda se podařilo naplnit cíle, vize a očekávání nejen realizačního týmu, ale i občanů města. Následně je přiložen návrh, na co by se měla Plzeň zaměřit v rámci udržitelného cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

This master´s dissertation focuses on and analyses the project „European capitals of culture“. Main goal of this study is to evaluate the potential of the project in means for possible cultural cities and analyse the influence and outcomes of the project on the tourism in the local area of Pilsen. The study then also aims at the project’s influence on the overall transformation of the city and if the goals, visions and predictions of the project were successfully fulfilled not only in the eyes of the realisation team, but also in the eyes of the city citizens. The thesis then suggests what Pilsen should focus on in terms of maintaining tourism rates.
