Social conditions of extremistic elements in behavior of population in some Czech micro-regions

Abstract:

Předložená práce se zabývá vlivem socioekonomických a historických charakteristik vybraných mikroregionů České republiky na volební výsledky politických stran s prvky extremismu ve svém programu, ve volbách do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu ČR v roce 2010. Cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry tyto charakteristiky ovlivňují volební zisky extremistických stran. V první části práce je popsána teorie, ze které práce vychází. Základem je koncept sociální exkluze a dalších souvisejících pojmů jako je kultura bídy nebo underclass. Následuje stručný popis pojmu extremismus a politický extremismus, jeho dělení a formy. Konec kapitoly je věnován popisu volebního chování a popisu hlavním příčin vedoucích k podpoře extremistických stran. Na základě teorie jsou v další kapitole vybrány čtyři mikroregiony, které budou předmětem anlýzy. Tyto mikroregiony jsou ve stručnosti popsány z hlediska jejich historického vývoje, z hlediska sociekonomických charakteristik a z hlediska existence sociálně vyloučených lokalit. Na konci kapitoly je popsán vývoj a program politické strany, jejíž volební výsledky budou předmětem zkoumání. V tomto případě se jedná o Dělnickou stranu sociální spravedlnosti. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou představeny statistické proměnné, vybrané na základě teorie, které jsou předmětem následné analyzy. Metodou analýzy je korelace a regresní analýza. V závěru budou dosažená zjištění popsána a shrnuta.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of socioeconomic and historical characteristics of chosen microregions of the Czech Republic on the election results of the political parties with extremist elements in their programmes during the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic election in 2010. The aim of the thesis is detect the extent of influence of preceding characteristics on election results of extremist parties. In the first part of the work there is described a theory from which the thesis emanates. The fundamental is a concept of social exclusion and the others related terms, for example the term of culture of poverty or underclass. The brief descriptions of the terms of the extremism and political extremism, their dividing and forms follow. The end of the chapter deals with description of election behaviour and basic reasons leading to the benefit of the extremist parties. Based on the theory, four regions are chosen in the next chapter, which will be the objects of analysis. These regions are briefly described from the view of their historical development, socioeconomic characteristics and from the view of existence of socially excluded localities. At the end of the chapter there is described the development and programme of political party whose election results will be an object of the research. This party is the Workers´ Party of Social Justice. The fourth chapter includes the statistical variables which were selected on the basis of theory which is the object of the following analysis. The methods of analysis are correlation and regression analysis. Achieved findings will be described and summarized in the final chapter.
