Christianity and Islam during the period of the Crusades.

Abstract:

Pokud bychom měli charakterizovat křesťanství a islám, jsou to dvě nejrozšířenější víry na světě. V současné době jsou to také dvě nejdiskutovanější náboženství. Zároveň společně s judaismem jsou označována za tzv. abrahámovská, jelikož se všechna vztahují k postavě Abraháma. Tato tři náboženství jsou mezi sebou velmi významně spjata. Islám jako nejmladší z nich na judaismus i křesťanství navazuje a čerpá z nich. Křesťanství i islám se jednoznačně shodují ve svém monoteismu, což je nejcharakterističtější rys, který spojuje všechna tři zmiňovaná náboženství. Křesťané věří ve svého Boha, muslimové uctívají Alláha. Ač se pojetí Boha na první pohled zdá být u křesťanství a islámu velmi podobné, při podrobnějším zkoumání nacházíme zásadní rozdíly. Islám neakceptuje křesťanské pojetí Boha, konkrétně jeho "trojjedinost", kterou chápe jako triteismus. Křesťanství se tímto, podle islámu, údajně vzdaluje klasickému monoteismu, a je více či méně polyteistické. Islám hlásá víru pouze v jednoho Boha a nepřipouští zahrnování dalších osob nebo hodnot Bohu. Tématem bakalářské práce, která se Vám dostává do rukou, je "Křesťanství a islám v období křížových výprav". Jejím cílem bude hlouběji proniknout do obou náboženství a analyzovat jejich vzájemné vztahy, a to především v období významné středověké epochy křížových výprav. Pro komplexnost pohledu na tuto problematiku bude používána literatura západní i východní. Pohled na křížové výpravy z islámské perspektivy, například nastiňuje kniha Křížové výpravy očima arabských kronikářů od Francesca Gabrieliho. Naopak zdrojem západních informací je kniha Svaté války, Dějiny křížových výprav, Christophera Tyermana. Práce bude rozdělena do 6 kapitol, které budou pro přehlednost rozčleněny do několika dalších podkapitol. První kapitola uvede do kontextu celé práce a jejího členění. Druhá a třetí část seznámí čtenáře se základními charakteristikami jednotlivých náboženství křesťanství a islámu, jejichž zmínění bude nezbytné pro pochopení vzájemných vztahů obou náboženství. Čtvrtá kapitola bude analyzovat vzájemné vztahy křesťanství a islámu. V této části čtenář nalezne například porovnání svatých textů obou náboženství, v jakých bodech na sebe navazují, pojetí Boha podle křesťanů a muslimů, také jak se islám, jako mladší náboženství, vypořádává s existencí křesťanství. Pátá kapitola se bude věnovat událostem křížových výprav. V úvodu budou pro komplexnost pohledu stručně popsány události první až osmé křížové výpravy. Dále budou podrobně popsány první tři kruciáty. Na konci páté kapitoly uvedu důsledky křížových výprav reflektující stav vzájemných vztahů mezi křesťany s muslimy, proměnu západní církve, kulturní přínosy kruciát, či sjednocení islámského světa. Součástí práce bude také závěrečné shrnutí, resumé v anglickém jazyce, seznam použité literatury a pramenů a přílohy.

Abstract:

If we were to characterize Christianity and Islam are the two most widespread faith in the world. Currently, they are also the two most discussed religion. At the same time, together with Judaism are known as so-called. Abrahamic because they all relate to the character of Abraham. These three religions are mutually very significantly intertwined. Islam is the youngest of them Judaism and Christianity continues and draws from them. Christianity and Islam are clearly agree in their monotheism, which is the most characteristic trait that unites all three religions mentioned. Christians believe in your God Muslims worship Allah. Although the concept of God at first glance seems to be with Christianity and Islam are very similar, on closer examination we find fundamental differences. Islam does not accept the Christian concept of God, namely, the "trinity" which is understood as triteismus. Christianity is that, according to Islam, reportedly receding classical monotheism, and is more or less polytheistic. Islam preaches faith in only one God and does not allow the inclusion of other persons or the values of God. The topic of the thesis that you have in your hands is "Christianity and Islam during the Crusades." It will aim to penetrate deeper into both religion and analyze their mutual relations, especially during the important medieval era - the Crusades. To view the complexity of this issue will be used literature Western and Eastern. View of the crusades from an Islamic perspective, for example, the book outlines the Crusades through the eyes of Arab chroniclers from Francesca Gabrieliho. On the contrary, the western source of information is the book Holy War, History of the Crusades, Christopher Tyerman. The work will be divided into six chapters, which are divided for convenience into several more chapters. The first chapter put into the context of the whole work and its structure. The second and third part introduces the reader to the basic characteristics of different religions - Christianity and Islam, which mentioned the need for understanding the relations between the two religions. The fourth chapter will analyze relations between Christianity and Islam. In this section, the reader will find, for example, comparing the holy texts of both religions, in which points of the successive concept of God by Christians and Muslims, as well as Islam as a religion younger, dealing with the existence of Christianity. The fifth chapter will be devoted to the events of the Crusades. The introduction will be for completeness, briefly described the events first-eighth crusade. Further detailing the first three crusades. At the end of the fifth chapter will bring consequences Crusades reflecting the state of relations between Christians and Muslims, change the Western Church, the benefits of cultural crusades, or the unification of the Islamic world. The work will also be a final summary, summary in English, a list of references and sources and supplements.
