Neonatal Icterus - the Awareness of Parents and Nursing Staff

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám úrovní znalostí nelékařských zdravotnických pracov-níků o hyperbilirubinémi a rodičů novorozenců s hyperbilirubinémií. Práce má dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části vysvětluji vymezení pojmů: bilirubin, typy hyperbilirubinémie, metody léčby a důležité ošetřovatelské přístupy v souvislosti s nimi. V praktické části se zabývám vytvořením a ověřením dotazníků u odborné veřejnosti a dotazníků pro laiky - rodičů dětí s hyperbilirubinémií. Vyhodnocení dotazníků, srovnání pracovišť v jednotlivých kategoriích dotazníků, zpracování výsledků v grafech a tabulkách s popisy. Uvedení výsledků výzkumu do praxe formou edukačního materiálu.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT In my bachelor thesis, I focus on the level of knowledge of hyperbilirubinemia among non-medical health care staff and parents of hyperbilirubinemic neonates. The thesis consists of two parts ? a theoretical one and a practical one. In the theoretical part, I explain the terms: bilirubin, hyperbilirubinemia types, treatment methods and important health care approaches related to them. In the practical part, I create and verify questionnaires for professionals and for the general public - parents of hyperbilirubinemic children. I also provide an interpretation of the ques-tionnaires, a comparison of sites as to the individual questionnaire categories, and I process the results in graphs and noted charts. The results from the research have been introduced into the practice as educational materials.
