Diplomová práca sa zaoberá pokojným riešením sporov medzi štátmi v medzinárodnom práve. Ťažisko práce je rozdelené na dve časti, pričom prvá predstavuje vývin prostriedkov pokojného riešenia sporov od najstarších dôb po súčasnosť, s dôrazom na analýzu fungovania OSN počas posledných šesťdesiatich rokov a na ňu nadväzuje druhá časť konkretizujúca jednotlivé prostriedky pokojného riešenia sporov.
