The impact of alcohol on family life and relationships in the family

Abstract:

Magisterská práce je zaměřena na užívání alkoholu. Konkrétně se zabývá vlivem alkoholu na rodinný život a vztahy v rodině. Práce je členěna na dvě části – teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části je nastíněna problematika alkoholu, jeho účinků na člověka a z něj vyplývající závislost. Následně je definována rodina, její struktura a role. Hlavní bodem je kapitola zaměřená na vliv alkoholu na rodinu a vztahy v ní. Empirická část je postavena na kvalitativní strategie. V rámci této strategie jsou provedeny rozhovory se čtyřmi rodinami, konkrétně s manželem, manželkou a dětmi staršími 15 let. Cílem práce je zjistit a popsat, jaký vliv má alkohol na rodinu a jak to její členové vnímají. Současně podchytit impulsy, které vedou k užívání alkoholu v případě občasného, běžného či návykového užívání alkoholu.

Abstract:

The master´s theses is focused on use of alcohol. Specifically it examines the impact of alcohol on family life and relationships in the family. The theses is dividend into two parts – the theoretic and the empiric one. The theoretic part outlines the problems with use of alcohol, its effects on humans and the resulting dependence. The next part is focused on the family, its structure and role. The main point is the chapter focused on the impact of alcohol on family and relationships. The empiric part is based on the quality strategy. On the basis of the strategy are conducted interviews with four families. Specially with husband, wife and children older than 15 years. The aim of research is find and describe what effect alcohol has on the family and how this fact perceived its members. At the same time capture the impulses that lead to alcohol use in the event of occasional, regular or addictive use of alcohol.
