Leisure Time as a Common Space for People with Intellectual Disability and People with no Disability

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce s názvem Volný čas jako společný prostor pro setkávání lidí s mentálním postižením a lidí intaktních se věnuje možnosti pořádání inkluzivních volnočasových aktivit. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny pojmy mentální postižení a intaktní populace, vysvětlena specifika trávení volného času lidí s mentálním postižením a lidí intaktních, jejich možnosti trávení volného času a charakterizován volný čas a jeho význam jakožto prostor pro inkluzi. V praktické části se bakalářská práce zabývá projektem, jehož náplní byla série tří volnočasových inkluzivních aktivit pořádaná autorkou práce pro jedince s mentálním postižením a jedince intaktní. Jako metoda sběru bylo využito zúčastněné pozorování. Dále je zde charakterizována cílová skupina, časová náročnost projektu, potřebné pomůcky, prostředí a personální zajištění a v neposlední řadě podrobný popis celého výstupu. Na základě získaných zkušeností a výstupů ze zúčastněného pozorování bylo stanoveno několik doporučení pro pořádání podobných aktivit v praxi.

Abstract:

The presented Bachelor thesis called Leisure as a common meeting place for people with intellectual disabilities and intact people focuses on the possibility of organizing inclusive leisure activities. The theoretical part defines the concepts of intellectual disability and intact population, explains the specifics of leisure time of people with intellectual disabilities and intact people, their leisure opportunities and characterizes leisure time and its importance as a space for inclusion. In the practical part, the ´Bachelor thesis deals with a project, the content of which was a series of three inclusive leisure activities organized by the author of the thesis for individuals with intellectual disabilities and intact individuals. The author uses participant observation as a method of data collection. Furthermore, the target group, the project's time requirement, the necessary aids, the environment and staffing, and last but not least, a detailed description of the overall outcome are described. On the basis of the experience gained and the outcomes of the participant observation, the author has set out some recommendations for organizing similar activities in practice.
