Anotace:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je pozkoumat, jak vývoj technologií ovlivňuje detektivní literaturu. Hlavní pozornost je věnována dílům “The Hound of the Baskervilles”, “The Nowhere Child”, and “The Woman in the Window”. Práce zkoumá, jak se vyšetřovací metody proměnili od klasické racionální dedukce po digitální forenzní analýze a testování DNA. Práce se zabývá tím, jak technologie ovlinňuje narativní strukturu, interpretaci pravdy a etické otázky, a ukazuje, jak moderní detektivní fikce odráží současné obavy týkající se spravedlnosti a lidské identity.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to examine how technological development influences detective fiction. The main focus is on “The Hound of the Baskervilles”, “The Nowhere Child”, and “The Woman in the Window”. The thesis explores how methods of investigation have shifted from classical rational deduction to digital forensics and DNA analysis. It investigates how technology influences narrative structure, perception of truth and ethical issues, demonstrating how modern fiction resembles contemporary concerns about justice and identity.
