Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce seznamuje se zajímavou a dlouhou cestou vývoje bankovního systému až po současnou evropskou měnovou integraci. Cílem práce však není jen popis sledu důležitých historických událostí. Problematika měnové integrace je zasazena do širších souvislostí evropské ekonomické integrace a v mnoha směrech je posuzována též z pohledu praktické měnové politiky. Práce je motivována přesvědčením, že porozumět faktickým hybným silám měnové integrace je možné pouze se znalostmi reálně probíhajícího integračního procesu. Na pozadí tohoto historického pohybu se společná evropská měna jeví jako završení dlouhého procesu, který mohl být uskutečněn teprve poté, co byla odzkoušena a opuštěna alternativní kurzová uspořádání. Možnost představit si reálný scénář zavedení společné evropské měny v České republice dává analytické srovnání se zemí, která již euro přijala, tj. se Slovenskou republikou, která jako první vstoupila v roce 2009 do eurozóny se stejnou měnovou politikou, jakou má Česká republika. Jedním ze zásadních předpokladů v současné fázi přípravy zapojení České republiky do evropské měnové integrace je přijetí nového zákona o České národní bance. Tento zákon odstraní dosavadní nekompatibilitu bankovního sektoru České republiky s právem Evropské unie.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis tries to tackle an interesting and long road in the development of the banking system till the current European monetary integration. The objective of this thesis is not to describe a sequence of important historical events. The problems of the monetary integration is embedded in a wider context to the European economic integration and just as well to the practical monetary politics. This thesis is mainly motivated by the assurance that the only way to understand the factual driving forces behind the monetary integration is through the understanding of the real ongoing integration process. Against the background of this historical drive, the common European currency, i.e. the EURO, appears like the climax of a long process which can be accomplished only after being well-tried and after the abandonment of the alternative currency systems. The possibility to envisage the reality of the introduction of the EURO in the Czech Republic provides an analytical comparison to the Slovak Republic, which joined the Euro zone in 2009 with a similar monetary politics like the Czech Republic, i.e. target inflation and a floating currency rate. One of the fundamental pre-requisites during Czech Republic's current preparation in joining the European monetary integration is the adoption of a new law about the Czech National Bank. This law will remove the incompatibility between the Czech banking sector and the rights of the European Union.
