Interpretations of the Witch Trials in Salem

Abstract:

The thesis is going to compare two works inspired by the Salem witch trials. The thesis is going to focus on the cultural aspects of both works and on how the authors were influenced by the Salem trials. The chosen works are Arthur Miller´s The Crucible and Adriana Mather´s How to Hang a Witch. The aim of the thesis is to point out the social issues portrayed in both works.
