Hlavním tématem práce je komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol povídky Glubokouvažajemyj mikrob od Kira Bulyčova. Přeložený text je následně analyzován z hlediska překladatelských transformací, způsobu převodu vlastních jmen a překladu další bezekvivalentní slovní zásoby. Abstract:
The main theme of the thesis is an annotated translation of selected chapters of the short story Dear Mr Microbe by Kir Bulychev. The translated text is then analyzed from the point of view of translation transformations, the method of transfer of proper names and the translation of non-equivalent vocabulary.
