Possibilities of basal stimulation in occupational therapy in pediatric clients with hemiparetic form of cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Teoretická část vysvětluje, co je ergoterapie a jaká jsou specifika ergoterapie v pediatrii. Dále se věnuje mozkové obrně, její definici, příčinám a formám. Podrobněji se pak zabývá konkrétně hemiparetickou formou mozkové obrny. Tato část také vysvětluje, co znamená a čím se zabývá koncept Bazální stimulace a popisuje jeho prvky. Praktická část popisuje průběh práce s konkrétním klientem. Pro práci s klientem byla nejprve odebrána jeho anamnéza a provedeno vstupní ergoterapeutické hodnocení. Na základě anamnézy a vstupního hodnocení byl zhotoven krátkodobý ergoterapeutický plán a jeho následná realizace. Na konci terapie bylo provedeno výstupní ergoterapeutické hodnocení a na jeho základě stanoven dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán. Zaměření terapií bylo především na povrchové a hluboké čití, jemnou a hrubou motoriku, snížení spasticity a na edukaci rodiny.

Abstract:

The theoretical part explains what occupational therapy is and what are the specifics of occupational therapy in pediatrics. It also definds cerebral palsy, its causes and forms. Then this part deals with more details of the hemiparetic form of cerebral palsy. This section also explains what the concept of Basal Stimulation meaning, what it describes, and describes its elements. The practical part contains of work with a specific client. First was taken an anamnesis of the client and an initial occupational therapy evaluation was performed. A short-term occupational therapy plan was made based on the results of previous evaluation. After our therapy sessions the long termed occupational therapy plan was assembled. The focus of the therapies was mainly on superficial and deep sensibility, partial and general motor skills, reduction of spasticity and education of the family members.
